We hereby conduct this post mortem
as the touch we recognized as ours becomes foreign
What went wrong, were there clues that we missed?
How could all this go unnoticed?
Her last visit wasn’t out of the blue;
she had just signed a deal and had come to give us the news.
along with her came her belongings
that she gifted to us to cease our longings.
her happiness had been contagious,
her counter attacks had been righteous,
she had stayed up the entire night, alone,
doing something with her mobile’s microphone.
had we known that she was writing a letter,
we would’ve done something to make her remember
how the lord had given her such a blessing
to be born to us who taught her his teachings.
the goodbye made things a bit clear
but we refuse to believe what had appeared
in front of us - holding accountable,
We were her family, not her angel.

sad, beautiful and tragic
thats kinda sad and beautiful at the same time
Read the first line and immediately started reading this in the tune of How Did It End... This is heartbreaking
