Two Scarred Souls And The Seashore

By Manisha Manjari

the very first time they met, weighed down by their haunting demon,

two different souls, two different bodies, and nothing shared in common!

the roller-coaster life had filled their spirits with lots of hurt and experience,

the lessons they learned had made them better, with a hint of bitterness making them mysterious.

the fake smiles they were carrying, even those that were beautiful and contagious,

only their hearts knew what it took to fight the swamp of darkness and be courageous.

sitting on this beach, moments before a sea storm, their gazes collided, and the thunder gleamed,

the flickering flame ignited and felt like the bond they had every night they dreamed.

the lunatic wind danced to the rhythm, binding two hearts with a single string,

the silence was epic, yet the moment spoke, offering a new sky to their wounded wings.

a moment of love or love in a moment, even the sea was curious to know what it was witnessing,

two scarred souls and the seashore, was it a glorious beginning?
