Once, my heart was shattered,
Torn to pieces by love's cruel hand.
Alone I stood, my world scattered,
Adrift in a sea of shifting sand.
But deep within, a spark still glowed,
A flame of hope that wouldn't die.
Slowly, steadily, it began to grow,
Igniting a fire in my soul, to try.
To find myself, to make amends,
To learn to love what I saw within.
A journey of healing that never ends,
Embracing the man I always had been.
Solitude became my truest friend,
A chance to reflect, to grow, to be.
Whole redo myself, my own journey to mend,
Discovering the joy of my own company.
No longer broken, no longer in pain,
I stand tall, my heart open and free.
For in learning to love myself again,
I found the greatest love of all - to be me.
