They Asked

They asked

"What you do when you are sad?"

I- ?

I load my tears into inks of  pens

I scratch my flesh  to make pages to sculp on

I ball my eyes out to send them in search of words

I break my nails into keychains that remind me of  the child I was

I poke pencil in my ears till they bleed

So the only sound I can feel is my  heartbeat

And at the last i dig my heart and mind out

in my hands

Narrating stories of days

Where heart  wished to die

But the dominating mind denied

i let them paint the stories of hatred and regrets

I shut my heinous thoughts

And said

"I write when I am sad”
