Two glittering masses fluttered through the sky,
And my eyes fell upon them, as I sang my lullaby...
Flying across was a man and a son; a bonding of love,
The boy was a beauty, the boy was made for me; like a hand and a glove...
Oh! So handsome, but so, so far away,
Would he ever even notice me, through the broad day?
Underneath him was the vast sea,
Above him were the clouds and me...
Looking so free and euphoric, he flew through the blue skies,
He seemed to be away from of the world’s stresses, problems and lies…
Through my eyes, I saw a perfect suitor for I,
As the boy suddenly lurched towards me, through the old man's throat came a strangled cry…
For the boy, oh so heavenly, I graciously extended my arms,
The older man's scream seemed to be another one of his alarms…
Ignoring the pleas of his father, the boy flew towards me,
Was I imaging a future? A child, the two of us and a house by the sea…
The boy's waxen wings seemed to be melting in a fast motion,
As one by one the feathers dropped towards the ocean…
Just as the winged boy reached me, he fell back in no time,
And now, I no other thought than to capture another lover in his rhyme…
The fall of the boy trapped my heart,
With the boy, fell one of my parts…
But oh, poor me was I destined to be forever alone?
For no one, seemed to be able to fill the void of my heart filled with undying groan...
