My hands tremble and quiver
As clouds of terror envelope the air
Tears of desperation flow down like a river
for fire surrounds me like a snare
I crawl on the ground, diverting my gaze,
As the infernal blaze maims me in our spar
I fall on my knees and pray and pray
That I live to see my scars
All of a sudden, a wave of fortitude washes through me
and I let go of my terror and fright
I brush off my body, the dread and debris
and match the devils piercing eyes
But my eyes widen, as my body buckles
for it is not the devil I see,
the fire around me flickers and flares
as I see myself standing in front of me
