It all leads up to that place, the terrace.
I went there yesterday.
Though strangely it feels like a distant memory sometimes,
Another moment, it seems I had gone today.
It was a place where all my anxieties loosened up,
Nothing could I hear but silence.
The sky was painted glowing blue. And as far as my eyes reached,
I had seen white fluffy castles casting their shadows down.
The structures on land all appeared as Lego, the bridge over the river as well.
Even though I had visited there a few times, why had I not seen that view
before?
Yet yesterday, I believe, I saw the entire world before me.
Everything painted in a poetic shade.
The sun as well had brought down its rage,
Upon the two of us who stood there still.
She was in front, gazing at the scene as the breeze kissed us both.
Behind her I had stayed close, could even feel her breaths.
Placed my hands on her shoulder, pointed at the world, told her my secret.
Nothing occupied my mind then, just her presence and my dreams.
That moment of peace, I had never felt before.
Could've asked Allah to halt the flow of sand.
Before I could realize, I had touched her soul through her lips.
Forgetting all the pain I was hiding in deep.
Upon that terrace yesterday, heaven had descended,
And in those moments, an Angel with me had bonded.
