The Tempest Of The Heavens

Noted Nest

Updated: Oct 2, 2024

By Atharva Rewatkar

In those beguile eyes, I see a cavernous Ghazal

of an unsought and a woeful tryst.

Her mind does show some Amal

yet it remains covered in her past's mist.

Every line of this Ghazal bleeds sorrow

like dewdrops in the morning bloom

vapourizing into the sky of the warm morrow.

O her eyes appear to be an epitome of gloom.

I observe those tears of pain

On the shores of her eyes.

I wonder how she does them sustain,

Painted in the perfidious dyes

Tears of severance hover over every word

in this Ghazal of unsung minstrelsy

and the doleful melodies that went unheard.

She seems a commix of tragedy and love's fantasy.

I look up to the skies, to the Heaven

Wanting to fill her barren with my love.

O Maiden! The Tempest of Dubiety will leaven

to meet you in this world and the one above.

The morrow of pain that life is giving to thee,

in the sighs and those extremely dear tears

Will also remold to that day's evening of glee

to bless us and embellish our future years.
