she’s standing right in front of me,
the most beautiful girl ever.
from head to toe,
she bathes in beauty,
brings everyone around her, ecstasy.
she’s standing right in front of me,
the most beautiful girl ever.
there’s something wrong,
shoulders bent, face in her hands,
crying, weeping, she can’t stand.
she’s standing right in front of me,
the most beautiful girl ever.
with such a perfect look,
waist snatched, eyelashes intact,
what was making her feel trapped?
she’s standing right in front of me.
the most beautiful girl ever.
but charm didn’t keep her from pain.
her life wasn’t chocolate swirl.
right now, she was just a broken girl.
she’s standing right in front of me,
the most beautiful girl ever.
and i discern that she’s crying because,
she doesn’t like how she looks, never.
for the first time in so long,
i realised i wasn’t alone, all along.
