Shimmering lands of wheat and happiness,
Are crimson now due to bombing
Humanity is stamped with question marks
Forgetting how to count dates
New born open their eyes with desires
But get killed even before they know how to crawl
Is this the worst or something else is waiting yet more
Is this the Karma we have been talking from years
Power and money, we are running after
Are all lost here
Hands have seperated from each other
Eyes looking for familiar faces
What remains?
Torn shoes of their fathers Or
Broken bangles of their mothers?
Newly married rings are scattered,
Old couples seeing blood stains on each other
Eyes loosing the view
Tears coming to blur the vision
Promises are shattered on the ground
Of staying forever beside each other
Who remains?
Which power and which money are they getting?
What revenge are they winning?
Which God has turned so cruel or
are they seeing devils painted in God's face?
The humanity and scientific revolution we boasted about
Are now turning merciless
Can someone add non violence to their dictionary?
News channels are flashing only news of bomb blasts
Politicians have turned their faces from the hardships faced by their people
All they say is
'WE WILL NOT END THE WAR!
THE WAR MUST GO ON!'
Is this a show?
Are they enjoying the shouts of their people for entertainment?
Which peace is so violent?
We are sitting in our homes
With everything we desire for
But then theirs someone shout is going unheard
Because all their exists
Is a LOUD SILENCE
Everything will one day go silent
After those who wanted to win
Have achieved their victory
At the cost of their fake promises
Of protection
And people who yet manage to live
Can feel the souls of the dead
Screaming for peace
But all our body would feel will be
One and only one thing,
