I know we can't be together, but can we meet just one last time,
To savor this fleeting moment, while we're still intertwined?
I stood on the terrace, gazing at the stars so high,
He was already behind me, and our eyes met under the sky.
My heart raced as I ran to him, like finding a lost treasure,
Holding him close, resting my head, lost in the moment's pleasure.
We sat there in silence, yet our desires spoke louder than words,
His touch sent chills through me, even in the warmth of summer’s world.
His scent surrounded me, as we were near but still so far,
He smiled, but it didn't reach his eyes, a smile touched by a scar.
He lifted my chin, his fingers igniting sparks in my soul,
Then kissed me one last time, though it felt like losing control.
Tears rolled down as I sensed the end drawing near,
Even the moon hid behind the clouds, as if it couldn’t bear to appear.
He waved goodbye from the door, and though I held him so tight,
I never knew I was holding sand, slipping away into the night.
