The Hypocrisy Of Kindness

Noted Nest

By B.Murali Krishna

A bond of friendship, strong and true,

Yet, in times of need, we turn anew.

A friend lies dying, a family in pain,

But we're too busy, with no time to gain.

We send empty gestures, hollow and wide,

And lack the depth, to be by their side.

Our smiles are plastic, our words are few,

Leaving loved ones, with nothing to do.

We're quick to judge, but slow to care,

Our actions speak, of a love that's rare.

We prioritize, our own selfish needs,

And leave the vulnerable, with worn-out deeds.

Human hypocrisy, a tale so old,

We preach kindness, but practice cold.

Let's confront our flaws, and make things right,

For a friendship that's genuine, shining bright.
