The Court Jester

Noted Nest

By Brind Mittal

Tomfoolery, maybe a mockery of my own

Jests that heal the air and lighten the soul

Yet sits the irony, where people mock me

For my profession, mockery of the world

In this sadistic plane, I defy the world

To do what I do, being a Court Jester

Overlooking the worries and sorrows of life

Yet this wisdom is overlooked as mere foolery of one’s self
