That Day

By Sukhendu Parui

Never broke sleep

Someone's call, someone's assurance,

Why still slumber awake in siesta,

Is it then the secret desire of intercourse?

Bravo- instant-

Tearing his clothes behind, he became more tired,

Very alone in a very distant land,

Not an endless sand beach.

Wings spread like waves

Ignoring the storm and rain,

Cross the sea with ease,

Never seen the countless corpses of oysters

On the shore-

Shimmering with snail shells -.

Stay burned in the sun.

Oh, my dream and longing fire-fly

Oh, birds--

How long it will take to cross that wave?

Be, you can - edge of your hunger-

Conquer the darkness,

The missing news will one day

Be the talk of the world -

Everywhere in the earth

Sparkling greeting color.
