“your ears are huge,
and your acne is on the loose,”
the comment reads.
tears are sprinting down my betrayed face,
against the acne that was insulted,
touching the ears that were humiliated.
but i realise:
one comment and i’m hurt,
two lines and i’m destroyed.
that’s not okay, surely not fine.
to give in is to lose.
and i’m not going to.
i wipe the tears off my face,
type a reply and brace,
“thank you,
but i’d never say anything like that to you.”
