The cliff dropped straight down, cascading like a waterfall of limestone into a pile of angular rocks at the bottom.  The rocks faded into sand, and the sand was devoured by the sea.  The sea rose- poised to attack- collapsed onto the shore, and retreated, leaving only its froth behind.  The waves shone with a silvery glimmer, that occasionally dulled when a wisp of cloud enveloped the Moon.  I took my seat on the cliff’s precipice, and she took hers.  We held hands, and stared up at the stars- squinting, trying to find where she lived now.
