Birds rush back into their nests,
Rats scurry swiftly into burrows,
Majestic giants of lush green shake,
As winds blow and skies roar.
Strength diminishes, blows turn breezy,
The greens stand tall, safety abounds,
Winds and thunder, a vent closed,
It all becomes a silent rain in the end.
Just drops of regret, falling slow,
Sorrow caresses earth, petrichor consoles, The scare and drama, thunder and gales,
A fiasco just for silent rain?
Petrichor fades, as sorrow floods,
No outburst, just zephyr,
Silence haunts as earth drowns, Rats drown, trees thaw, wings pray.
