I have never succumbed to indolence
before her eyes locked with mine
I seep into the moment
Basking in the warmth of her gaze
And I lose, lose all senses of material world
Leisurely swimming in pools of her seraphic eyes
I was never so consumed with rage
Until I saw tears threatening to fall from her eyes
I cup my palm and let them gently land
and watch them evaporate in heat of my wrath
I roar, roar with my blood screaming for vengeance
the soft-hearted hero has taken the backseat, a demon has taken the wheel
I have never experienced such insatiable hunger
Until hues of your spellbinding honey brown orbs
hugged my soul like a snug duvet in a winter morning
as comforting as a sip of hot cocoa on a snowy evening
I drink , drink like a thirsty man who found an oasis in desert
Yet I never have enough of this heaven sent ambrosia
I have never envied anything more
Than an inanimate stick of kohl
For how gracefully it decorates your eyelids
Painting it like delicate wings of butterflies
I dream , dream of them each night
And sleep soundly in embrace of their memories
I have never submitted so completely to desires
Till your eyes held my heart captive with their hypnotizing charm
Like intoxicating song of mermaids beckoning me underwater
I lose all perception of time and space in trance of that magical melody
And I drown, drown in forbidden fantasies
allowing my sinless soul get coated in pearls of passion
I have never let greed overpower me
But when our eyes met for the first time
I have never wished for anything more
than waking up to see those pair of eyes each morning
So I gambled, gambled away my sanity , knowing well
that it was a deal with the devil, but sanctioned by all angels
I never knew the meaning of pride
Until I saw love gleaming in those doe eyes
The love that has become the very part of oxygen I need to breathe
My home , my shelter from all worldly storms
I fail, I fail to keep my armor of defenses on
and free fall in arms of the welcoming vulnerability
I never knew I would look into someone’s eyes
And commit seven deadly sins all at once
