I gave my all, my heart and soul,
To the friends who claimed they would make me whole.
Together we would reach the stars,
Conquer the world and break down the bars.
And so I tossed the coin of friendship,
While knowing the fact that it had two sides.
One where they would fight with me in my hardships,
And the other, where they would become my misleading guide.
I trusted them with all my might,
Believed their words, their dreams so bright.
Worked day and night to make those dreams come true,
Loyal and steadfast, through and through.
But when success was finally near,
My friends turned cold, their hearts turned sere.
They mocked my dreams, my hard-earned gains,
Stabbed me in the back, they broke the chains.
Alone I stood, my heart was in shards,
Betrayed by those I thought were my guards.
A lesson learned, a price paid so high,
One thing I'll say, to trust too much can make you die.
But still I'll rise, my head will be high,
Forge on ahead, let nobody deny.
My right to live, to love, to thrive,
Betrayal's scars, I'll keep them alive.
As a reminder of the cost
Of misplaced trust, of friendship lost.
I'll build a new, a red right hand,
Stronger, for my revenge grand.
