Qalam meri aaj kal ishq nahi likhti,
Aaj kal ishq bas qalam se hi hai,
Kabhi bunti hai khayalon ko,
Kabhi batorhti hai khwaabon ko,
Par qalam meri kabhi jazbaaton ki tanqeed nahi karti,
Ghul jaati hai mere saare zakhmon mein,
Aur chhodti syaahi likh kar unn pe nazmein yeh,
Par qalam meri filhaal apni nok ishq se nahi bharti..
