Plea To Stay

Plea To Stay

In shadows deep, I wandered lost,

My heart too wild, bearing heavy cost. Emotions tangled, impossible to tame, A mind in turmoil, overwhelmed with pain.

I felt too much, too difficult to hold,

A spirit fractured, growing cold.

No hope for love, no dreams to find,

A hollow shell, a troubled mind.

But then you came, a beacon bright, Finding me in my darkest night.

You loved me gently, like a breath, Rescuing me from the grip of death.

You held my hand through every storm, Keeping me safe, keeping me warm. You saw my soul, you knew my fears, You dried my eyes, you chased my tears.

Yet now you turn, you pull away,

You speak of hate, you cannot stay. How can you leave, forget our past?

Our shared dreams, can they not last?

You taught me love, you taught me trust,

But now you watch us turn to dust.

I beg you now, on bended knee,

Please do not go, do not set me free.

Remember love, remember light,

We will find a way, we will win this fight. Do not let our story end this way,

Stay with me, oh love, please stay.
