See the axe, the end of my life,
The devil strikes, as I close my eyes,
Not one falls, not two,
All drop, as the flu
Tears flow out, I brace for the knife
I flow calm, cleanly and greenly,
Till trash fell, filling me deeply,
Polluted, and waste,
And trashed, and betrayed,
I ain’t the bin of the needy
I buzz lone, flower to flower,
Looking ‘round, shouting out louder,
Pesticides, the killers,
I’m the last, buzzer,
Pollutants, of all my nature
Ice I am, home of the Arctic,
Vanishing, the hot heat melting,
Polar bears, penguins,
Snow fox, we’re helpless,
I’m sinking, with life that’s drowning
Swim I did, dancing in the seas,
Together, with fishes like me,
Plastic floats, across,
Friends and I, consume,
Start to choke, until we are free
We humans, are the destroyers,
Of nature, and other livers,
Single-use plastic,
Deforestation,
We’re killers, of our only home
This poem is from the perspective of the victims of our actions, such as trees, rivers, insects, icecaps, and marine animals. It aims to convey a strong message that what we do will one day reflect on us and we must be protectors of our home planet and not destroyers.

This poetry was not easy to comprehend at first look just like human self destructive behaviour but on deeper look it captures the feelings of animate and inanimate alike and ends beautifully with a flash of insight from humans about their own destructiveness. Well done Sathvikh Sudhakar!
Very good!
Superb. Well written. We humans are the destroyers of the earth 🌎
God save us...
Lovely. Inspiring. Perfect. Action seeking. Really well done! One of the best poems I have ever read.
Heart touching!
