O river,
Hold me back from crossing to the other side,
My love approaches, my love is near.
O river,
Pause your relentless flow,
For my love has arrived, and I ache for it.
Like the river’s endless journey,
Every moment feels like an eternity,
Your love is a test I endure,
Wandering through the streets of my heart,
Yet my soul remains unclaimed,
Become my guardian, dear river.
You echo the depth of my love,
The one who is arriving, the one I cherish.
O river, you are where I find solace,
Where my love resides, where my love dwells.
Let not our hands part,
Let not our paths diverge.
All I seek is a glimpse of your presence,
Despite the trials,
My heart has longed for you,
Waiting for your return.
O river,
Pause for a moment, just once,
For my love is here, my love is here.
You are my hope, my rightful claim,
My love has arrived,
O river,
Hold back your wild currents,
For my love is here, my love is here.

The relentless flow of river is explained well
The personification of river to the human qualities makes the poem too good
