Never Give Up On Your dreams
My truncated dreams seem to call out my name.
Accusing me of abandoning them as I bow my head in shame.
The dreams that were born to achieve success and fame,
Have now burnt to ashes due to the procrastination flame.
Why should I give up at this point of time?
Fear of failure is no less than a crime.
I have a long way to go before the bell chimes.
Dwelling upon the past is hardly worth a dime.
Just another dream has popped up before me.
Dreams of earthly paradise that I have to see.
I gaze upon the birds perched on the top of a tree.
Flapping their wings and soaring into the sky, feeling ecstatic and carefree.
Hopes seem to fizzle out by the onset of caliginous night,
The sempiternal predicaments keep trying with all their might,
Never to let me out of their sight,
Yet, somewhere a ray of optimism within shines so bright.
Emotions of life are painted in various hues,
It's only our perception that gives us cues,
To tackle any obstacle that ensues
And find solutions to the problems that confuse.
