Decades of exploitation, decades of invasion,
powerful and greedy spread hatred and disruptions.
Affecting the future generations,
they’re changing the human nature.
No cries are being heard only cottages are being burnt,
activists are being halted, fear is being implanted,
dawns and dusks are departing with uproars.
Killing nature they’re building an artificial nation.
The misinformation spreading, the forces and the forging,
corruption is increasing for power and politics.
People are becoming heartless, killing thousands of innocents,
using art to justify the violence.
Organisations have been censored, justice is been degraded,
is this the nation for which millions laid their voyages?
The souls of the martyrs cry and witter,
What is happening to their lovers and the cheaters?
Misconceptions are being sold,
and women are still being told,
where to speak and what to withhold.
Despite independence, people are been forced,
Bowing their heads under the tyrant and the forged.
Singing songs of glory, they are burying people slowly,
the tombs are been erased, the scriptures are been changed,
strategies are been drawn and the minorities are been torn
from the lands they've been born.
The rightful heirs are being thrown, their handlooms are being worn,
Violence is been used to silence the truth.
Manipulating the system the nation's resources are being misused.
Will there be an end to this casteism and the looks?
Mysticism is still around when the pens are scribbling down,
nobody can stop the resistance, nobody can scold,
the heart still screams for liberty,
while the orphans demand justice.
While ministers are hoarding food and clothing,
The penniless child is shivering beside the thrash that's heaping.
Women are being abandoned after being used,
Claiming to be pious the men are creating chaos.
The activists wail in pain when basic human rights are disdained.
Brutality is in the air and lies are being flared.
How can we say we’ve achieved our dreamland?
How can we say we're there?
While the localities are burnin'
the hearts are still churning.
Truths are being battered and food is being scattered,
While the rich are becoming richer, the poor sit bitter.
While leaders are having vine without thinking about that child,
Afghans are still fighting for basic human rights.
They laugh at our faces when we talk about their abuses.
Famines are increasing, water bodies are depleting!
The silence of the authors who were hailed and honoured,
shows the cowardice of their hearts and the hypocrisies of their art.
The people who influence nations still choose to remain unemotional,
drifting the people and hypnotising their minds,
they’re normalising all the blasphemy and homicides.
The caste still remains why can't we all be the same?
Prejudices are being made by their colours and their songs,
decades and decades of moral lynching and ethnic cleansings’ done.
Forging different identities they’re becoming weak.
O souls of Adam why have you become so meek?
Where did all the men go who demanded impartiality and peace?
Oh, European nations stop being so stubborn.
Were these inculcated by your ancestors?
While people are been mocked for their cultural and tribal talks,
while girls are being forced without their consent or talk,
while the powerful and greedy are reframing history,
How do we say everyone is being treated equally?
The slogans are been raised but the voices are being suppressed.
Are we progressing towards hell built up by human cells?
Glorifying the leaders, forgetting about the citizens.
The age of selfishness is here, what else can I tell you oh dear!
