I'm begging on my knees
At the atlar of a diety
Tears falling at the marble steps
Leading to the statue that grants wishes
Please give me a sign
A leaf falling at my feet
The cry of a child
Or rain pouring in the peak of spring.
My torturous desire,
I implore you to see reason
My knees cut from changing seasons
Sitting still
My devotion as if it is you
Who i open my arms for
Is it a derisory
To want you on my bed
Next to me and all you do is sleep
As your favorite melodies
Fill the room's silence, once almost deadly
I've been the epitome
Of skepticism, never believing in romantasy
I see you smile
And you make me listen
But darling I know every one by the word
I have since the moment you told me they were your favorite
You don't believe in love
Just the utopian fairytales from movies and melodies
Which never can be
I beg to fall in love with someone
Who loves me half as beautifully as poetry
Two sides of a coin
One doesn't believe and needs it to breathe
Other believes in a way that can only be woven as stories
Like threads in your t shirt
The whiff of perfume
Hospital and medicnes
I've been sitting at your atlar
Carving my poetry as a prayer
For them to come and sing about tragedy
I stopped breathing waiting for you to love me
As if this would end like movies and melodies
Lying at your feet
Scraped knees
Chapped lips and rough hands
Bleeding over the poetry of a one sided love story
