Does the moon bewitch you?
Betwixt the archaic passion of the poet,
And genius of mankind sprouting creations new-
Touching the surface of the moon
Uncovering mysteries it held against the night;
Does musing on it's beauty make one seem a loon?
Oh! When I clap my eyes on a full moon night,
The trees underneath wearing a black cloak
And bats flying past the lamp, full and bright-
It stirs up an image I saw in my childhood dreams
Where witches and wizards worked their charms
And forests gave way to moonlit streams.
I wish to set sail for that arcane land
On the moonlit stream, blitzed in charms
Alas, such mysteries are not for the ones who 'understand'
It is left for the poets and artists to feel.
Not all enigma are the ones to be solved;
Some are left in the childhood for the heart to heal.
