You came into my life; gliding smoothly,
Like a warm breeze; oblivious of the far cries,
You hugged me with your covers of light,
As if protecting me from the cold skies,
Falling on the clouds of delusion,
I couldn't see the weather change,
An encompassing tornado; the dark horizon,
And the bleeding lies fading away,
As the blustering winds tried to wrench my heart,
I held on to the illuminating memories of the past,
You walked away; unbothered,
Leaving me in the murkiest depths,
Of my wretched heart,
Now I decided to let go; the thread you cut ages ago,
And the moon appears every night,
To hear my silent cries; with the tear filled eyes,
It sends a sympathetic glare my way,
Caring for me in a way you never could,
The moon loved me;
More than you ever did.
