Just Sibling Life

Noted Nest

By Nivritti Sinha

Everyone always talks about

How much siblings fight,

But you wouldn’t understand

Unless you’ve lived the life.

I’m sure you’ve heard of

All the younger sibling struggles,

But I need to make it clear

Being older is more trouble.

You are the one,

Who will always take the blame,

And if you decide no,

No one believes your claim.

Unless your sibling has a lie streak

Then you’re in the clear,

Otherwise just get ready for

Your worst fear.

And when they have a project,

You’re definitely doing all the work,

Because why not just take the credit,

And focus on the perks.

And no matter how hard you try,

If you mess up the tiniest of detail,

Then be on high alert,

Because your life may be at stake.

You’ll never hear a thank you,

For helping your little sibling,

And you can talk and shout all you want,

But they’re not really listening.

And now addressing

The ten million and thirty fights,

That all siblings have throughout

Their life.

Yes, they may seem like a drawback,

And yeah, they happen every day,

But no matter what happens,

When it counts, sibling come together

anyway.

As long as you have a sibling,

You’re never really going to be lonely,

Because unlike the others,

You aren’t the only.

They’ve always got your back,

Because they’re the only ones who can bully

you,

If you don’t believe me,

Ask anyone with a sibling, its true.

So while others rely on television,

You get free live entertainment.

And you think you won’t miss them,

But you couldn’t be more wrong,

Because life without your sibling

Is really such a yawn.

So my conclusion is

That sibling life has pros and cons,

Do not overthink it like me,

And this is Nivritti Sinha signing off.
