Noted Nest

Journey to The End

By Aakash Gupta

Travelling through the ocean roads, believing it's mine

I stopped whenever I felt to get another bottle of wine,

Oh the stars today, please don't hush a word

Just utter the light, so I can run far away.

Reached far away to the ends of the ocean, but the journey's not over

Reached far away to the ends of the cloud, where I can just hover,

Now let me fly with these winds unguided

And don't stop until I quench my thirst away.

I'll walk till where the volcano erupts and slippers wear down

But I will always look at the sky and my chin's never down,

Let me breathe the stardust and with air no more

Let me bathe in the fire fountain and melt my soul away.

I'll find my way to the snake's nest, and rest for a while

Will pretend to be a stone, until I straighten my spine,

I will drink the water from the ocean tide

Maybe it will bring some fresh from the other side.

But Oh my child, hear my song

Let me stay, till the time when I'll cross the other side,

Hold my hand and guide my way

I promise I'll never walk back on this pathway.
