Indefinitely Mine

Noted Nest

By Chitkala

He wears my beige rubber band on his wrist like it’s his new favourite bracelet,

Now my hair is untied for him to play with

When he holds me, he won’t let go

But when he does, he knows

I will come back for more

I like long walks by the trees

When it starts pouring we don’t run

But get soaked in rain as it drips

And it only makes sense that we kiss

But we go for a hot beverage instead

I drive home in his shirt , on me it looks oversized

Cause he knowns I get cool during midnights

And I like seeing his wet hair falling on his eyes

Making it a memory to keep for a life time

He says, it’s cute when I get the lyrics wrong

And that my hair looks good when it’s long

I can’t hide the look in my eyes

And the way he knows and smiles

I want his worst as much as I want his best

And he holds me the same when I cry and when I smile

I don’t mind doing mundane things with him all this time

When I know he is indefinitely mine.
