I Don't Belong

By Swapnil Mondal

I don't belong there.

I don't belong there

where people drink away their pain,

Dance in ecstasy.

I don't belong there

where everything seems alright,

Yet somehow, tears roll down right at night.

I don't belong there

where there is nothing but gossip and just lies alive.

I belong to the silence

Smell of souls,

The solemn of books

And the stench of peace.

I belong to the warmth

Of her arms,

The uncertain fights

And her calm.

I belong to me just

And just, to you.

I belong there,

Where it's just I, and you.
