With a lightening in my left brain and a rainbow in my right,
With a dream in one eye and a storm in the other,
With sweet, sour, and bitter words on my tongue,
With happiness and sorrow in each auricle,
With lust and love within each ventricle,
With poison and medicine in one blood,
With violence in one hand and care in the other,
With success on one palm and struggle on the other,
With a shoe in my right leg and thorns deep set in my left,
With a nose filled with both ego and gratitude,
With a soft song in one ear and loud abuses in the other,
With blessing and stress on the same forehead,
With a neck that turns to both pleasant and unpleasant views,
With a stomach half-filled and half-empty of worldly pleasures,
With white teeth and hidden black cavities,
With a dark skin but it glows,
With small beauty spots on my cheek that resemble the stars out this balcony,
Where I stand on the canvas of this earth,
And As I look closer and closer at me,
I realize everything is contained in me,
And I do nothing but stand on a paper,
And watch nature color me up.
Some parts of me as bright as this moon,
And some of me as dark as the night.
But I appreciate every color it paints me in.
Each mistake that it can’t correct makes me more perfect.
For I can see every portrait it paints is beautiful in its own way,
Until the paintings around us, trigger us, to set ours on fire.
