Her Last Perfect Knot

Noted Nest

By Saumya Chawla

She loved tying knots,

From her shoelaces,

To her pretty dresses,

From a ribbon on her project,

To her packing a gift for her bestfriend.

She wanted to tie a knot,

That will last her the whole life,

She wanted to tie a knot,

With someone she truly loved.

But her destiny tied a knot darker then imagined,

A final knot,

No celebration this time,

No enjoyment,

No hurrays.

A final knot,

The perfect last one,

Not a shoelace or a dress,

Not a project or a present,

Just her still body hanging from the ceiling.

Her last perfect creation,

her last perfect knot.
