Gratitude

Noted Nest

By Nisha Sainath

Grateful for every next breath taken

Grateful for the food  on plate

Grateful for the secure shelter and safe space of living

Grateful for the enchanting experiences encountered

Grateful for the precious people earned

Grateful for the priceless moments of laughter

Grateful for the wide ranging opportunities offered

Grateful for the eyes that can witness the beauty of dusk and dawn

Grateful for the ears that can hear the sweet chirping of birds

Grateful for the brain that can process a constant flow of thoughts

Grateful for the mind that manages a battlefield of optimism and pessimism

Grateful for the eyebrows that raises to reveal an emotion

Grateful for the nostrils that work as a team to let in and let out air

Grateful for the mouth that chooses to use words to make people and not to break them

Grateful for the  tongue that introduces the diverse tastes of life

Grateful for the teeth that never smile in the plight of others

Grateful for the shoulders that shadow another aching heart

Grateful for the hands that applaud the growth of others

Grateful for the arms that clasp dear ones together

Grateful for the heart that holds on to goodness

Grateful for the legs that does not crush down any one

Grateful for the knees that bow down  in front of pure love and kindness

Grateful for the foot that always puts itself in other's shoe

Grateful for the soul that is endowed with strength to sustain amidst  struggles

Grateful for the customized  challenges delivered to carve a human

Grateful for  the superpower of feeling everything deeply

Grateful for  the patience that persuades to trust in the magic of time

Grateful for gifting the certainty to handle uncertainty

Grateful for every drop of tear which is not left abandoned

Grateful for the countless blessings in this league of life
