do you remember her face?

the Men masqueraded victorious in the streets, boasting their treasury of antediluvian creeds

like Abraham, who thoughtlessly sacrificed his doe-eyed offspring to the blade of his sanctimonious philosophies

labelling Woman as the mere bearer of a bloodline, metonymy of a whore born of Man’s thirst for control

so these faceless daughters of the modern age stare at a dismal wall, hands chopped to punish their valiant rebellion as they rattled their cage bars

History cackled and locked the scale of prejudice, so another young girl is forced to rot in her grandmothers place

not evolved with Time, whose prudent hands unmasked cosmic truths, unveiling the power of the graceful hurricane and her female rage
