Noted Nest

But Of Course

By Lalhriat Kima

But of course, I’d like to gain more knowledge,

Spit venomous fire in their face,

Jump high enough to leap over the hedge

And defile all that’s labeled, “a just grace”.

Why can’t I write ‘yond the good and evil

Dreams and life lay outspread before my soul.

My canvas remains blank on my easel

While my mind scream, fighting for control.

Bleak are the memories long forgotten

Not by me or you but by the masses

Or simply overlooked then and again

As they look down from their higher classes.

So tomorrow I shall try again and

Again until my life is at an end.
