In the quiet corners of her heart,
She hides a secret so profound,
A love that blooms in shadows dark,
Yet dares not make a sound.
Her laughter rings, her smiles bright,
But in her eyes, a hidden flame,
For her best friend, a guiding light,
Yet she pretends it’s just a game.
She buries feelings deep within,
Concealed beneath a mask so true,
A friendship pure, a love unspoken,
A bond that only she and he knew
Their laughter echoes in the night,
Their secrets shared beneath the stars,
But she keeps her love out of sight,
Afraid to break what they hold dear
So she plays her part, the friend so kind,
While love wells up within her chest,
A silent ache, a bittersweet reminder,
Of the love she never will confess.
But in the quiet of the night,
When darkness cloaks her in its embrace,
She whispers softly to the moon,
Her love for him, a hidden grace.
And though the world may never know,
The depths of love within her heart,
She finds solace in their friendship,
And keeps her love a work of art.
