Nothing feels warmer in my stomach like a bright future
ever so warm and ever so bright
love when its not a statue-shadow
love when its offered in cupped hands
and taken with a bow
love the mellow ribbon of gold
burning my shadow only it wont burn
cuffing my hollow soul, only it is not vacuum
many a silent hero, threw his cap to please
nothing feels warmer in my stomach like a bright future
an epiphany in under belly when I dream
a swallowed cake ever so sweet
many a day, I carry my pen like it's a god
ever so light, as I wake my eye
hover amongst tulips brighter than my blood
flittering a clover, against the sun
nothing feels warmer in my stomach like a bright future.
