These insecurities that you hide,
Under this blanket of pride,
Calling it all a façade,
Fearing they will daunt on your scars.
The lips you seal,
For the mistakes to conceal,
The judgements you fear,
Advantageous, they all cheer.
Acknowledge, adore, respect,
Are all words you dread,
Yourself, probably you have never met.
Trying to hold on to that shadow you thought you had become,
Is a mere mirage,
For you have come a little too far.
Judgements, now are your closest kin,
Pillows soaking your tears every night in,
With emotions taking a toll on your sanity,
Wondering if you can ever live happily!
Maybe all you need is a little courage,
To simply acknowledge!
