Some days my bed becomes a casket
And I feel like the walls would just close in the ceiling would collapse
And People would walk in to see a last lapse
I could see people reading my obituary
Another young pessimist
A prey to her mind
A misfit soul trapped within a world unkind
Another young pessimist
Coward some say
It takes courage to see beauty in this world
And she just wasn’t that way
Another young pessimist
Holding on to a dark past
Worrying about a mediocre future
A life within a glass
Another young pessimist
With chaos in her core
Tremors in her nerves
Shunned away to deal with it on her own
The world has lost another young pessimist
Alas she did no good and hopefully no harm
And so the world goes on.
