In the kingdom of contour, where secrets reside,
A saga unfolds, of delight and discomfort combined.
A load so heavy, upon the drowsy soul,
Where once you abstruse, now indignation uncontrolled.
Oh, life’s cruel twiddles, like barbs on a rose,
Piercing the heart, where love once flows.
You settled upon my shoulders, your fears untold,
And just now, my dear friend, your thankfulness turned cold.
I stood there alongside you, a pole of might,
Shouldering the burden, through daylight and nighttime.
Your problems were mine, as I so voluntarily shared,
Still now you flinch, as if I nevermore cared.
But pay attention, dear companion, to the murmurs of truth,
For underneath this frontage lies a love strived and true.
I bummer your burdens, with forbearance and grace,
Anticipating that one day, a smile would charm your face.
Now, exacerbation may cloud your discernment, it’s true,
But my dedication remains steady, for you.
I swear to be there, when blackness emerged near,
To grant you my ear, wipe away each and every tear.
The voyage we’ve taken, together intertwined,
Through storms and tempests, our souls aligned.
I clasped your challenges, your desires and despair,
And though you resent me now, I still really care.
For comradeship is not measured by kindness repaid,
But in the moments we experience, both shine and shade.
So permit not resentment sow stones of disdain,
Let’s repair these fractures, and reconstruct love’s terrain.
With gentle perseverance, I’ll crumble this storm,
For deep within. I realize your heart’s still warm.
You let me take the burden, your faith you did lend,
And together we’ll cure, as dearest friends till the end.
