All That Becomes What It Does

Noted Nest

By Maya

Strength and Courage -

That which you perceive -

Is meaningless unless

You use it like a thief.

Battles won

And rivals defeated,

Only mean something

If you have overcome before you have beaten.

Slack on it, it picks you up

And holds you by the tail,

Showing you what could become

And you perceive you have failed.

Wittingly use it

And you might see

All that becomes what it does,

And not what ‘could be’.
