Her casket lies in deep slumber,
Forgotten and lost in the earth’s embrace,
On top of it lies a dried flower,
And an exquisite bouquet tied in lace.
Feets above and paces away,
Stands a silhouette humming an aubade
Foreign to many but close to her heart it lay.
For the silhouette a phantom’s lair became a love’s abode.
In the daylight he sang songs with trees and birds,
Under the twilight he twirled with the cold and phantoms.
At noon he sat alone, laying for her beautiful flower beds.
From day to night, he stands there, hoping she will return
His love for her, something you can’t fathom.
For she looks upon him from the gates of heaven,
Overwhelmed and touched as she indeed had been lucky,
To find a gem like him in this cruel generation.
Their love, a diamond among coal, humankind’s glory.
