A Love Of Burning Bones

Noted Nest

By Gracie Tanna

Oh, how guilty and remorseful do I feel,

With such sudden softness you gave to

my heart,

That it aches so hard

For the poor love you feel so sorry for.

Because you might’ve known,

How have I not fallen so far in your love.

Oh dear, your hands are cold,

And mine burn like fire,

By just how blind you are,

That you can’t see my love for you

As an unbearable desire.

I’ll love you till my bones burn to aches,

With my aching heart.

So just remain with me from that time,

And for the world to burn

To the end of my heart.
