i smiled today, maybe a little too much,
and conceivably, that was enough to crush
my heart into a million pieces,
now they’re infinitely scattered beyond my reaches
they looked at me like i
was something accidentally alive,
they judged and frowned,
wondered why my eyes were so brown.
i knew i marred their mood,
but how? - i was truly confused.
how could my barely lop-sided lips,
be a cause for all this?
but then i realise,
however, it didn’t hit me as a surprise,
that i’m merely a speck of dust,
that’s it, just dust,
spoiling everything around me like rust.
