High

Noted Nest

By Parvathi Nair

I see the world shaking

 I'm not high

I sometimes glide than rather walk

My feet aren't trembling

My hot chocolate trips over

The failed destinations

My hands aren't shivering

My breath sometimes takes a short vacation

And come back as soon I gasp for air

I'm the only child of anxiety

Bearing the address of trance

My heart skips a beat every now and then

No, I'm not in love

My love eloped with my peace

I hate the eulogy I wrote for them

It's more like a love letter

I yearn for my lover

Again, this world is shaking

No, I'm not high

Or maybe I'm.
