Hero

By Saqib Sheikh

Righteousness is his belief,

Whatever the situation,

He search for relief,

In others' satisfaction.

Let anything come,

He is not afraid,

Let a bond become,

He'd do all he said.

Well yes it's a choice,

Not everyone understand,

His truthful voice,

Is considered fool's errand.

Delusional, immature, mindless,

Is how he is perceived,

The fact that he is selfless,

Is never conceived.

For being right,

He is often bullied,

Everyone enjoys his plight,

Ignoring his good deed.

His morals, beliefs and perspectives,

Gets punched everyday,

But he still follows his objectives,

Standing firm, come what may.

Everyday feels like a battle,

That he fights alone with everyone,

His pains are thought to be prattle,

Even by his close one.

His existence often seen,

Through society's prejudicial glass,

His efforts remain unseen,

If their tests he doesn't pass.

He is always left alone,

Loneliness is all he can find,

Solitude feels like stone,

He cries to heal his mind.

There is a dilemma in his mind,

Questioning his existence,

Why he chooses to be kind,

Even after so much disturbance.

But he knocks it off,

Gets up with hope,

"Let them be tough,

I can cope."

He takes the responsibility,

To fade others' pain,

Ignoring the difficulty,

That he faces to stay sane.

Hero is demanded by all,

But his vision is rare,

Nobody wants to fall,

Taking someone else's care.

Hoping tomorrow to be better,

He makes things right,

His beliefs will change never,

No matter how long the fight.
