I lead a normal life,
as unchanging and monotonous as the sea.
A storm here and a hurricane there.
Desperate blue tides washing over me.
But on one fine day,
One that would be etched in my soul,
like the first coffee driving out the Monday blues,
waltzed in, the woman who would make me whole.
The moment our eyes met, I fell in love
My black ones latched onto her electric blue.
Striking like lightning and crackling with energy,
Pouring life into my soul too.
A needy force pushed me past my barriers.
I stepped into the oceanic depths and drowned.
Underneath the blue sheets of her eyes,
I looked at her bright soul without being burned.
Cold blue chips of ice, that melted capriciously.
Powdery blue snowflakes when happy.
Calm waves when content and blue flames when angry.
Her eyes spoke volumes, in a language known only to me.
Even through the mist covering me,
Very clearly, I could see.
To reach the peak of happiness,
A life with her was the one for me.
